We will meet early in the morning to begin our trip to Rupit, a picturesque Catalan town that will take us approximately an hour and a half to reach.
Upon arriving in Rupit, you will have free time to explore this charming town at your own pace. Walk through its cobbled streets and admire the typical stone houses that date back to medieval times.
We will continue our excursion ascending more than 1,000 meters in height until we reach the impressive Sanctuary of the Mare de Déu del Far. From here, you will enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Gerona's natural surroundings, as well as explore the chapel and its interior.
Our next stop will be Besalú, located about 50 minutes from the sanctuary. This town is part of the rich medieval heritage of Gerona and has important monuments such as the medieval bridge, the Jewish miqvé, the church of San Pedro and the old pilgrim hospital. We will enjoy a delicious typical local meal to recharge our batteries before returning to the starting point.
