Our tour begins at 12:00 in front of the imposing walls of the castle, where we will immerse ourselves in a one-hour guided tour of this historical monument. Discover the secrets of the Order of the Temple in Lérida through a captivating audiovisual documentary that reveals who the Templars were, their uniqueness among the orders and the reason behind the construction of Gardeny Castle.
We will explore the palatial rooms of the castle, from the strategically located cistern to the large hall-room that housed the daily activities of the Knights Templar. We will ascend the majestic spiral staircase to the keep, where we will witness an impressive panoramic view of Lérida.
Our adventure will take us to the warehouse house, where the Templars kept their valuable treasures and documents. We will conclude our visit at the iconic Romanesque church of Santa María de Gardeny, the oldest religious treasure in the city.
