The unique mountain profile of Montserrat greets us as we approach this iconic destination. From the Nazis' attempts to find the Holy Grail to the intriguing plots of the Ministry of Time series, Montserrat has attracted attention throughout history, even during the Napoleonic occupation.
At the Montserrat Museum, a fascinating audiovisual room immerses us in the reasons behind the magnetism of this sanctuary. From the legend of the Holy Grail to the exceptional collections it houses, including archaeological artifacts from the Middle East and masterpieces by artists such as Caravaggio, Dalí and Picasso, among others.
Our guided tour of Montserrat Abbey will take us through Gothic and Renaissance architectural gems, with special attention to the Virgin of "la Moreneta", the revered patron saint of Catalonia. To close with a flourish, we will enjoy a tasting of the exquisite liquors of Montserrat.
